Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
- Click Start and then click Control Panel.
- Click User Accounts and Family Safety.
Note: if you do not see the User Accounts and Family Safety, go to step 3.
- Double-click Mail.
- Click E-mail Accounts and then click New.
- Click Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and then click Next.
- Click to select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types checkbox and then click Next.
- Click Internet E-mail and then click Next.
- Add the following account settings:
- In the Your Name box, type your name as you want it to appear to recipients.
- In the E-mail Address box, type your e-mail address. For example, type yourusername@yourdomain.com.
- In Account Type, select POP3.
- In the Incoming Mail Server box, type mail.yourdomain.com. For example, type mail.itsweet.com.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) box, type mail.yourdomain.com.
- In the User Name box, type your account name.
- In the Password box, type your password.
- Click to select the Remember Password check box.
- Click More Settings.
- The General tab is optional. Add the following settings:
- In the Mail Account box, type the name by which you want to refer to the account. For example, type Work or yourname@yourdomain.com
- In the Organization box, type the name of your organization.
- In the Reply E-mail box, type yourname@yourdomain.com.
- Click the Outgoing Server tab.
- Click to select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
- If it is not already selected, click to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- If you are using a DSL type of service provider change the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587.
- Click to select the following checkboxes:
- Leave a copy of messages on the server
- Remove from server after 5 days
- Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'
- Click OK.
- Click Test Account Settings.
- When all tasks have completed successfully, click Close.
- Click Next.
- Congratulations! You have successfully set up your account. Click Finish.
